Abraham and 'Williams, Ltd., report on their Feilding.sale on Friday:— We had. a heavy yarding of both sheop and cattle,'which met with a. brisk sale at advanced prices, lambs and wethers showing a very decided rise from last week.- Every pen pell under the hammer. We quote Sheep: Pour-year ewes, 16s. 3d. to 16s. 7d.; four and five-yecr ewes, 12s. 3d., 13s. Ed., 14s. 4d„ ,15s. Id.. 15s. sd„ to 15s. 7d.; aged owes, low condition. 56. to Bs. lCd.; two-tooth -wethers, 20s. 3d.; lambs, 9s. 6d. to 12s. 6d.; two-tooth Southdown rams, s?gns. to 6gns.; fat cows, £6 to £6 7s. 6d.; fat heifers (small), £3 7s. 6d.; weaner heifers. 255. to 275. 6d., 285., 335.; springing heifers in calf, £4 2s. fid.; store cows, £2 16., £2 10s. to £3 55.; bulls, £3 12s. fid. . to £5 lCs. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantilo 'Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Rengiwehie, on. Tuesday, we had a good entry of sheep, Tt-hich sold freely at full rates. A 6maU yarding of cattle met with little compe- : tition. Sheep: Fat lambs, 14s. 4d.; aged ewes, lis. to 13s.' 7d.: four and five-year ewes, 15s„ 16s. 6d. to 17s. 3d.; Lincoln ramß, 30s. to 355. Cattle: Forward cows. £4 10s.; eighteen-month heifers, £3; two and a halfyear steers, £6. The New. Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Feilding, on Friday, -we had a good entry of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Competition wa-3 brisk throughout for sheep, there being a Tise of 2s. per head on lambs and ■wethers, while good ewes also sold well. ■ We quitted the whole of our entry at the following prices. Sheep: Medium lambs, 10s. lid. to' lis. Id.; black-face lambs, 12s. 3d.; good lambs, 13s. to 14s. 9d.; ewe lambs, 145.; aged ewes. 14s. Id. to 15s. 4d.; forward • ewes, 16s. 5d.; fat ewes, 18s. 3d. to 19s. Id.; fat mixed sheep, 215.: small fwo-tooth ewes, -155.; good four and five-year ewes, 18s. 3d.; ■wethers, 20s„ 20s. 3d.. 20s. 6d.: fat and forward wethers, 225. Id. to 225. 3d.; fat wethers, 245. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report having conducted a clearing sale of dairy stock, implements, etc.,-at Ma.nakau'on account of Mr. Robert Oliver. Bidding was keen throughout the sale, and prices realised were most satisfactory to the vendor. . Quotations:—July aalvers, £8 ss„ £9 155., £10 56., to £12 155.; August calvers,- £5 10s. to £9; October calvers, £4 176. 6d. to £8 18s. 6d.; November calvers, £5 55., £9, £9 10s. to £11 12s. 6d.; heifers, spring calvers, £4 128 m £4 17s. 6d„ to £5 2s. 6d.; two-year Jersey bull 6, 1 £5; weaner heifer calves, £2; store pies, 14s. A pet lamb, given by Mr. Oliver and offered on account of the Belgian Relief Fund, brought £3 4s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile 'Agency Company, Limited, report:—At the Dannevirke salet held on Friday, in the Miller's Road sale yards, there was a large entry of sheep, although not quite so good as usual, and a medium one of cattle, offering to a good attendance of the public. The market for elieep was, considerably firmer than of late, # bidding—especially for lambs and ewes—being exceptionally keen. Cattle, however, were somewhat hard to dispose of. We quote:—M.S. woolly lambs, 12s. 5d.; shorn wether lambs, lis. Bd.; four and five-year ewes, 125.; two-tooth Romney rams, 355.; empty cows, £3; steers, £2 Its. to £1 13s. fid.; heifers, 375.
