AMERICAN SUBMARINE MISSING. New York, March 26. The 'American submarine F4 is missing. It is believed she has been lost with all hands. She sank and failed tc re-appear off Honolulu harbour. Thert were twenty-five of a crew aboard. NEW SOUTH WALES STATE PARLIAMENT. Sydney, March 27. Parliament has been prorogued front April 9 to April 13. OIL QUEST IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA, Adelaide, March 27. Dr. Arthur Wade, after spending five mouths inspecting supposed oil-bearing • areas in South Australia, reports that tho chances of obtaining a supply oi petroleum in tho districts under consideration are very slight. "FLAG DAY" IN MELBOURNE. Melbourne, March 27. Flag Day was a hugo success, and realised £8000. AUSTRALIAN COAST LIGHTS. (Rec. March 28, 3.30 p.m.) Melbourne, March 27. The date for the taking over of the coastal lights by the Commonwealth Government has been deferred until July 1.
