PREMIERS' CONFERENCE
THE AUSTRALIAN SCHEME. MR. MASSEY MAY NOT ATTEND. In reply to an inquiry by a reporter as to whether he had decided to attend the conference of Australian' Premiers on the date agreed upon—May 10—the Prime Minister (the Right Hon. W. F. Massey) replied that it was highly improbable that he would attend the conscience. "I have had no communication from tho Commonwealth Government as to the date," he said, "but as far as I can see, even'if an,invitation does come to me, it will be almost impossible for me to leav# 'Now Zealand at present."
