TIMARU HARBOUR BOARD

-♦ SUCCESSFUL LOAN RAISING. • (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Tlmaru, March 26. A Harbour Board loan of £132,900, raised in the Dominion at. different times, at various Tates from 4 to 4J per cent., falls due next January. At a meeting of the board to-day the chairman stated that the wholo amount had been raised in loss than a month from the issue of the circulars at practically no expense. The rate is 5 per cent, for twenty years. Offers accosted range from par to 5 per cent, premium (only one offer being below par). A London loan of £100,000, due in January, may also bo repaid by the loan raised locally.
