PADEREWSKI'S APPEAL TO AUSTRALASIA
DESOLATION AND RUIN IN POLAND. s London, March 25. Jan Paderewski, the pianist, says that two hundred Polish cities aud towns, 1400 churches, and 7500 villages and hamlets have been utterly destroyed, and that over ten million peoplo, mostly >of the rural population, have neither, shelter nor bread. He appeals to Australasia for help.
