"EMBOSTEEL."
The methods of dealing with ceilings has long been a matter of great consideration for both architects and builders. Many different materials have been' used, but it has been found that very little variety has been obtained. To offer the public a substitute for plain inartistic ceilings without adding to the cost and at the same time embracing all the artistic beauty of the ' craftsman's art- lias been .the endeavour of the Embosteel Ceiling Company, and 0110 has only to inspect their productions to understand how far success, has been achieved. Embosteel-is quite distinct from any similar material, and the wide range of varied and artistic designs, cleanly stamped, gives unrivalled choice for all kinds of work. ■It has been thought that steel ceilings are unsuitable for residences on account of the heavy effect of the ceilings when erected, but this difficulty has been entirely overcome, and the Embosteel Company can supply suitable designs from cottage work t'o the rich and heavy designs for public halls and buildings. In addition.to ceilings, the Embosteel Company has given special attention to exterior decorative metal work in zinc and copper, and their efforts have distinctly proved their ability to deal successfully with all special work of an artistic and delicate nature. The work of erection is carried out by experts, and when painted a flat white, the 'ceilings resemble richly embossed plaster, but with this advantage, that tlio jvork is lasting and not liable to crack. There is also a . wide scope for decoration, and the various designs of enriched panelling, ; cornices, and friezes lend themselves .naturally to the decorator's art, and may be pickfed out in colours with marvellous effect. The New Zealand representatives for'Embosteel are Messrs. Wilson and; Shaw, 10 and 12 Harris Street, Wellington, who hold stocks of the material and carry out. the work of erection.. . ,
