FIERCE HURRICANE AT THE ISLANDS
9 PLANTATIONS PUT BACK A YFAK. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) Suva, March 25. A hurricane was experienced at Yavau (Tonga. Islands) from March 17 to March 13. It reached its height on the Friday morning. Considerable damage was done. Plantations have been put back a year. No casualties havo been reported. A few houses were unroofed. The steamer Atiia was held up for two days. It is believed Haabai and Nukualofa escaped.
