MILITARY TRAINING FOR YOUNG AUSTRALIA. Sydney, March 25. At the request of the Premiers, the police leads of the various States havo reported -upon the effects of universal training. The reports are unanimously of opinion that the system has benefited, the youths. In Now South Wales the InspectorGeneral says that the improvement ia both mental and physical. The principal effects are increased self-respect, and a decrease in cigarette smoking and larrikinism generally. There is a tendency towards a sense of responsibility and a desire to become good citizenß.
