SERIOUS SHORTAGE OF FARM ' LAI3OOR. London, March 24.

Board of Trade returns show that the cotton trade is almost normal owing to revival of trade with the East and 'Government orders. There is a serious shortage of agricultural labour, 15.G per cent. of agricultural labourers having joined the Army and Navy. Farmers require 80,000 more permanent labourers for harvesting' work. On the Stock Exchange employment is had, though over one-third of the clerks Itavo enlisted.
