Canadians: Killed 15 s ,wounded 27. GERMAN CANARDS. (Rec. March 24, 6.25 p.m.) London, March 23. A report from Berlin states that Germans who were recently in Portsmouth have reported thai two hospital ships sail for France daily, deep-laden, and return unloaded! The vessels, they assert, were probably carrying war material under tne safety of the Red Cross flag.—"Times" and Sydney "Sun" services. IBADE UNIONISTS AT THE FRONT. Sydney, March 24. Official statistics show that the percentage of trade unionists enlisted in the Expeditionary Forces is 6.27; other than trades unionists 4 per cent. BIRTHDAY OF THE FIRST WILLIAM. Amsterdam, March 23. The Kaiser, commemorating the birthday of William the First, has decorated several Ministers and many high officials with the Iron Cross. GERMANS PLANTING WHEAT AND POTATOES. Amsterdam, March' 23. German troops at Sedan, aided by civilians, have planted 75,000 acres of wheat and potatoes. Similar extensive cultivation is proceeding in other parts of the German occupation.
