The advertised times for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-post mail ricr Main Trunk express closes at the C.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and Tor the south, per Ferry Steamer, at 5.45 ' Parccl? for dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of the usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at the Clii"f Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised time of closing of mails.
