MASTERTON NEWS
(From Our Special Correspondent.) Masterton, March 23. In the case in the Supremo Court in which the Official Assignee claimed the title of Native land from Harry Nee, Mr. Justice Stringer to-day gnve judgment for the plaintiff with costs. An appeal against the decision of Mr. Reid, S.M., in granting an order for maintenance of an illegitimate child Against a young man named limes was upheld, the. Judge stating that there was insufficient corroborative evidenco. Tlio Masterton Borough Council tonight decided to support the Runanga Borough Council in its protest against the increase in the cost of living. A man named William Larson, a. pig farmer residing at Taratahi, was found hanging from a beam in his hut this evening. He is a Swede, About fifty years of age, and is said to have a wife and family elsewhere.
