YOUTHFUL CYCLIST KILLED. Auckland, March 22. A fatal accident occurred in Symonds Street thin morning, by which a boy named George Eades, aged 15 years, mot his death. He was riding on a bicycle, down Symonds Street on his way to work, when he approached too near the side of the road, and struck the kerbstone. Ho was thrown from tho machine, • his head striking the pavement. The injured youth was taken to the Hospital, where he died shortly, after admission. WOMAN FOUND HANGING. (Br TelceraDh.—PreEß Asiociation.) Dunedln, March 22. A single woman named Margaret Walker, 63 years of age, was found (lead at Waitahuna, this morning. She was hanging in her bedroom with a cord round her neck. Deceased was staying with hoi - sistor. FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT. I '. Cora, March 22. Thomas Hicks, a married man, aged 68, with a grown-up family, a small farmer and orchardist residing hoar Gore, while driving over Hyde Street railway crossing this afternoon met with a fatal accident. Hicks was going over the crossing one hundred yards south of the station as the railway engino appeared. The crossing-keeper called out. but Hicks hesitated, and finally drove over the crossing, the engine striking the end of the spring cart, capsizing and throwing Hicks out on his head on to tho crossing. The injured man never regained consciousness, and died about two hours after being received in the Hospital.

MAN'S HANDS BLOWN OFF. (From Our Special Correspondent.) Featheraton, March 22. A man named Harry Todd was seriously injured while engaged in stumpinc on Sunday afternoon in the Rimutaka Valley. A charge of gelignite exploded unexpectedly, and Todd had both his hands blown off and was badly cut about the neck. He was taken to tho Grc.ytown Hospital. BODY FOUND ON THE BEACH. New Plymouth, March 22. The dead body of a newly-born male infant was found this afternoon on the beach in front of the town. An inquest is to be held.
