TWO-UP SCHOOL RAIDED

Yesterday. afternoon Sergeant Stewart and Constables Dunlop and Hannafin "from information received" made a successful approach to the Riccarton Racecourse, where it was reported .a "two-up" ,scliool had established its headquarters. The police, making a wary entrance through the pine trees, got "within fifty yards of the crowd, and watched them at their operations for a considerable time. Then, apparently, someone gave the alarm, for the "players" suddenly fled the field. The jwlico gave chase, and were successful in catching iive men, of whom it is understood three will bo prosecuted.
Messrs. Dalgety ami Co. advertise entries of stock received for their Levin sale on Friday.
