SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications are for strong south to south-easterly winds, a.nd col'l, SqUfilly and showery wcatlicr, but considerable rain is probable in the northern and East Coast districts ot the North Island. The barometer is now rising, and high pressure is likely to prevail in the northern districts in the next few days. Two barometric depression,; hare dominated weather conditions, one passing in higher latitudes, the centre of the other crossing the Dominion and combining with the former on Sunday. Bain ha<= fallen generally, and unsettled, cloudy, and misty weather' lias ruled. High northerly winds have been experienced in the northernmost districts, and variable easterly breezes elsewhere, but the direction is now chiefly southerly I). C. BATIW.
