NATIONAL RESERVE

The Wellington South section of the National Reserve has 115 members on its roll. The company drills every Tuesday evening, and while the fine weather lasts it is the .intention to continue drilling on- Saturday afternoons. The whole company 6hows great enthusiasm, and good progress has been made under the instruction of Captain Firth and Messrs. Parkinson and Charlton. Last Saturday's drill embraced some of the more advanced infantry training and signalling practice. Then a company of about 30 were' taken in hand by the instructor of the AVellington College Cadets, who put them through a short course of musketry instruction, after which they had their first firing practice. The'shooting was creditable to both the men and their instructors.
