NEW ATTITUDE OF LABOUR London, March 19. Mr. J. H. Thomas, Labour M.P., and organising secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, addressing a meeting of railwaymen, declared that the censorship was responsible for workers not fully understanding occurrences at the front. He was certain that, now that the workers had been brought face to face with all that was involved, they would give their best work to ensure that the lives of Britain's sons who were fighting would not be unnecessarily sacrificed. I MINERS' SHORT HOLIDAY. • " London, March. 19. ' The Miners' Federation las received an appeal from Earl Kitchener to limit the Easter Holidays to one or two days, as curtailment of the output might lead to veritable disaster. MUNITIONS' CONFERENCE. SATISFACTORY AGREEMENT ..SIGNED, Lendon, March 19. The Munitions' Conference has signed an 'agreement. The workmen's representatives undertook to submit to their members a recommendation , against stoppage of work in war time the settlement of all differences by conferences or arbitration, and the relaxation, for the period of the war of existing trade practices. An advisory, committee was appointed representing the organised workers.
