SAD TERMINATION TO A TRAINING CAMP

DEATH OF COMMANDING OFFICES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Oreymouth, March 20. Lieutenant-Colonel B. Richardson, Officer Commanding the 13th (North' Canterbury and Westland) Regiment, died in the Regimental camp at Totara. last night. He was taken ill suddenly yesterday and died during the night from cerebral hemorrhage. He had not been in the best of health since the Kowhai camp la6t year. The Totara camp was to break to-day, the Canterbury Motion having left yesterday morning. The body wiH be brought to town thiß morning and will be taken overland to Christchurch to-morrow. The news of Colonel Richardson's death caused a painful shock in camp, the late.Commander being an exceedingly popular officer with the men. Colonel Richardson wns a son of the late Hon. E. Richardson.
