ORGAN RECITAL

Undoubtedly the City Organist, Mr. Bernard F. Page, is making a real and earnest endeavour to make the weekly recitals ail active force and a living reality in the musical matters of this city. At to-night's recital two orchestral numbers mil bo played—Peer Gynt Suite, by Grieg, and Elegy for Strings by Tchaikovsky. The other items are works for the organ, and include the great Prelude and Fugue by Glazounov, one of the Russian composers of to-day, a. Concerto by W. P. Bach, Pastorale by Claussmann (a work new to We' lington), and the Handel Variation known as the "Harmonious Blacksmith," arranged for the organ by Karg-Elert.
