GERMAN DREADNOUGHTS

TO BE RECOMMISSIONED KAISER PROMISES A FAIR FIGHT (Rec. March 19, 9.35 p.m.) Basle, March 19. A telegram from Kiel states that the German Dreadnoughts are being overhauled and remaimed. Owing to the long rest the boilers are showing signs of rust. They will undergo sea trials and gun trials for a week. Since the outbreak of the war the crews have been distributed, and many have been killed or wounded in land lighting. The biggest of the ships' guns have been sent to Belgium, and the Germans boast that they can 2iow meet the English naval attack. It is freely stated that the Kaiser intends to have a fair light in the North Sea.
