ISLAND BAY ELECTORS' ASSOCIATION

<, Tho annual meeting of the Island Bay Municipal Electors' Association was hold oil Thursday evening. Thero was a very satisfactory attendance of the residents and tho interests in the works of the association was heartily an enthusiastically displayed. Tho report of the executive was discussed very fully, and unanimously approved. General satisfaction, waa expressed at the condition of the work on tho culvert, and tho_ fact that the next year would see the completion of this work was much appreciated. The need for the duplication of tho tram lino from Island Bay to Luxford Street was strongly emphasised, and it was recommended to the incoming committee to take tha necessary steps to have the same put into effect. Various schemes for treoplantmg and beautifying of Island Bay were discussed, and a scheme, as set out by . tbe executive of the association, was unanimously approved. Since tho last general meeting there have been various schemes put through, including tree-planting, erection of temporary band rotunda, extension of ladies' bathing accommodation, etc., etc- The ' temporary band rotunda has already neon used, and much appreciated by the 1 members of those bands who have ! kuroly regaled Island Bay with musical ' programmes.
