BRITISH OPERATIONS London, March 16. The Marquis of Crewe (Secretary of State for India), in reply to a question by Lord Curzon,. said that, considerable reinforcements had been sent to Aliwaz (in Persia, 011 the Karun, north of.the Shatel-Arab) to make the AngloIndian position perfectly strong.
