NEW ZEALANDER WOUNDED AT NEUVE CHAPELLE
London, March 16. Cecil Humphries, tho New Zealander who was recently awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, was wounded at Neuvc Chapellc. Cecil Humphries joined -the Army Service Corps at tho outbreak of the war. Later, lie exchanged to tho Ist jManehostei's. In. addition to being awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal, he wm promoted to be a serpeant. Sergeant Humphries is 27 years of age, and a son of the late Mr. C. Humphries, of Matnnra, Southland, and Mrs. A. H. golfer. Ho also secured a place in a Canterbury representative football team which toured Now Zealand a few years ago.
