ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATIONS
SPORTS AND; NATIONAL CONCERT. St: Patriok's Day will be oelebrated by an atttaotive athletic sports programme, at Newtown Park this after--noon, and an Irish national concert in the Town Hall, this evening. ' A varied sporto programme has been arranged for this afternoon, and providing the weather is at its best some very keen.sport is anticipated. Hurling, Ireland's national game, will be played, and national dancing will-all help, with the side-shows, to make tho . afternoon one of genuino enjoyment. . This evening a first-class national concert will be given in the Concert Chamber., Mr. W. Farquhar Young (Christchurch) has ;been specially engaged for the concert, while others who will contribute items are: Miss Mildred Wrighton, English concert singer; Miss Teresa M'Enroe, Miss Agnes Segrief, and' Mr. Charles Hickmott. The prices of admission, for the-sports will be one shilling, while 35., 25., Is. will be the , charges, at. tho concert. Seats may be.reserved at the, Bristol.
