The charge of murder against John Eath was reduced to one of manslaughter, and he was sentenced to two yearß imprisonment without hard labour, thft Judge remarking that he suffered from an hereditary mental . weakness for liquor. Imprisonment would enable him to he medioally treated. Eath, a farmer, of Kojonup, 134 miles, south of Perth, sui rendered to the police on February 9 last, stating that he charged himself with killing his wife during a domestic quarrel.
