FIRES
' OUTBREAK AT THE LOWER HUTT. Yesterdav afternoon a five-roomed i house in fiowner Street, Lower Hutt, owned and occupied by Mr. B. G. D. Woodward, was partially destroyed by fire. The outbreak .in a ifash-house adjoining the dwelling, but ' the local brigade speedily, extinguished the flames. The kitchen, scullery, and dining-room were damaged. The building and contents were insured in the Northern Office, but the amount was not ascertainable last evening. ( SIX-ROOMED COTTAGE DESTROYED (By Teleeraph.—Press Association > Hastings, March 161. A six-roomed house owned and occupied by C. D. Anderson was destroyed by fire yesterday. Insurances on the house, £350 inthe National; on the I furniture, £100 in the London and Lancashire.
