TREATMENT OF WAR PRISONERS
PAYMENT OF OFFICERS (Rec. March 17, 0.25 a.m.) London, March 16. A White Paper gives the correspondence between _ the British Government and-the American Ambassador respecting the treatment of German prisoners. Britain states that naval and military officers are given half the pay_ corresponding to their ranks in the British infantry. _ If the Government learns that British officers in Germany are receiving full pay for their corresponding ranks in the Gorman army, Britain will be prepared to do the same for German-prisoners.
