DEATH OF BISHOP GRIMES
1 AFTER AN OPERATION A STRENUOUS LIFE'S WORK (By Teleemnh.—Presa Association.) Christchurch, March 15. A cable message was received last evening from Sydney from the Very Rov. Chancellor Price stating that Bishop Grimes, of Christchurch, had undergone an operation for appendicitis and that His Lordship's condition was causing anxiety to his friends. To-day word came that the Bishop was sinking, and later news was received that be was dead. Bishop Grimes left New Zealand a fortnight ago for medical treatment, and died in Lewisham Hospital, Sydney.
