two French and two British aeroplanes brought down a Zeppelin in Belgium. Twenty-ona of the crew are-dead, and twenty seriously injured. Paris, March 14. The - GeTmans were furious over th® destruction of the Zeppelin, and arrests cd all Belgians found photographing the debris. , At the beginning of last year (states a "Times" correspondent) the German Army possessed in all eight Zeppelins, three Parsevals, two Schutte-Lanz, and two of tho "_M" type, aiid there is no reason to believe that this quantity has grown largely, for the additions nearly all replace obsolete or broken-up vessels. The oldest of tho Zeppelin? is the Z2, with a gas capacity of 17,800 oubic metres. Her length is 148 metres and die is driven by three Maybacli motors giving 150 h.p. each. This ship was built in 1911. The next on the list is the Z3, a somewhat- smaller ship, built in 1912. Her capacity is 17,500 c.m., her length 140 m., and her power likewise 450 h.p. Next in date come Z4, Z1 (a replacement of tile original Zl), Z5, and Z6. These four ships are practically identical, having a' capacity of 19,500 c.m., a length of 141 m., and 540 h.p., derived from three 180 h.p. Maybacli motors. The ttfo latest of all, the Z7 and ZB, liaye a ( capacity of 22,000 c.m. Tlioy are 156 m. long, and, like their predecessors, have 540 h.p. Tho fastest of these machines does not exceed SOm.p.h., and the slowest does very little ovor 40, evenat full power.
