Staples and Co., to be erected on the company's extensive property between Molesworth and Murphy Streets. The block is really the extension of the building erected twelve months ago, and is .erected in relation to that building.. The ground floor of tho new main building, for instance, is an extension of the engine-room and cellar. The first floor will be utilised as a hop store, under back, and the upper part of the engine . room., Office accommodation and a laboratory occupy the second floor, with two mash tuns, a wort refrigerator, and sugar store. The third floor will be occupied by a cooler, hot liquor tanks, and malt bins, and the top floor by the upper part of the cooler and for general storage purposes. The whole of this building will be servedwith an electric hoist operating from a cart-high platform. The new copper house will occupy a square, 50 feet by 50 feet. The building will be ereoted on the skeleton steel frame principle, with brick walls, concrete floors throughout, and a steel roof covered with asbestos slates, and will throughout be as nearly fire-resistant as a building can be.
