Association was hold in the association's rooms 011 Saturday afternoon, there be- ■ ■ing present Messrs. Q. Donald (in the chair), W.' Perry, D. M'Gregor, J. Mor,iis, W. D. Watson, G. H." Perry, B. •Rayiior, G. H. Shaw, A.-J. Percy, W.. J.. Welch, E.. Gray, J. C. M'Killop, A. J. Speedy, A. D. M'Master, W. Cooper, •'J. M. James, E. .Harper, 0. A. Cam- . eron, G. S. Sommerell, H. Short, of Feilding, wrote '■ complaining that his pedigree cows had been, damaged through contact at the ■ show grounds .with other cattle. He - stated that he would hold the associa- ~ tiori responsible for the damage. Mr. ' iW. D. Watson stated that tne Stock {Receiving Committee did not: handle bulls, and the' contact lad apparently taken place on..the. first night of the show. The secretary stated that in the . rules of the association no responsibility :. was.accepted for damage done to stock, '; and -no paddockiug was provided for bulls*. On the motion of Mr. M'Killop it was decided to reply that the association disclaims . responsibility; -* A- sub- ' committee, consisting of Messrs. W. . - Perry and D. M'Gregor, was set up to frame a reply. Mr. Short also wrote stating that ho . - . understood that the association had advised Mr. Hector Booth to write' the IFeilding Association,. complaining that * certain exhibifctf had sent in'his" exhibits without their pedigree. Mr. Short stated that so far as he was con- , 'cerned he had sent the pedigree of his stock by telephone.
