The report adds that the olub was again able to place six teams in the field each Sat- r urday, but owing to the fact that a o large number of members are serving r abroad with the Expeditionary Forces, a it will not be possible to place the same j number of teams in the field during the ( coming season. The roll now stands as d follows:—151 active, 57 honorary, 27 e life, 8 retired. The thanks of the club t are due to Messrs. Kember, D. D. Weir, ]j Irons, H. Toner, W. M'Mahon, and F. a Turner for coaching the various teams; 1 to Mr. W. Higgins for the use of his t gymnasium; and to Nurse Everitt, for t attending the matches played by the h senior fifteen in case her services might a at any time be required. A team visited o Christchurch last Easter and played u tho annual fixture with the Christ- n church Football Club. The club again s scored a win, the result being B—o. For b the first time since 1901 the senior n team gained championship honours, be- " ing bracketed with Athletic as winners d of the competition. The club's A team d also won tho seven-a-side tournament. & The third A fifteen had the next best record to its credit. The congratulations of the club are extended to the following players on .1 having attained representative'honours: W. Francis, (N.Z., North. Island, and P Wellington), H. F. Cotter (North Is- k land and Wellington), G. G. Miller, L. I, T. M. Grace, It. Mackenzie and G. Alley (Wellington). Tlie deaths of Messrs. E. 0. Baikin and J. H. ' Hempton, both life members of tho v club, are recorded with regret. g
