KARORI DEFENCE CLUB

The Karori Club! concluded its longttinge shooting in the championship 6t>ries at Tr<?nthimi on Saturday afternoon over ranges 900 and 1000 yards for trophies presented by Messrs. T. C. Comric, W. J. Blundcll, A. Collins. G. Jones, Judd, and Randell, and the club. The weather conditions were patchy, a right wind varying from two to twenty degrees, worrying the marksmen. .Top score was registered by Rifleman G. Tinney, with 63, followed by Eifleman TV. Chirnside, with 62. The total of 60 points made by Rifleman G. S, Clark, a young shot, who has bqen shooting very consistently for 6ome time, deserves special mention. Tho long-range aggregate for scratch men was won by Rifleman i\ TV. Ching, with 240 points, followed by N. F. Willoughby, with 236 points. Rifleman G'. Jones takes first placo in the same aggregate for handicap men with 231, Rifleman H. P. Prestop being second, with 206. The club championship, which will ba concluded next Saturday over ranges 500 and 600 yards, should provide an. exciting finish, only four points separating the first four men. 800 1,000 yds. yds.
