LIMIT FOR FLOUR RATES

At a conference between the flourmill owners and the Victorian State Cabinet, a sub-committee arrived at an agreement under which imported wheat will be sold at 7s. Bd. per bushel, provided the flour is sold at £16 a ton, to prevent bread exceeding 9d. the 41b. loaf. It will cost the Ministry Bs. 2d. to land American wheat, and involve a loss of 6d. a bushel.
The Premier (Sir A. Peacock) states .that the Government has secured seven cargoes, representing 1,300,000 bushels of wheat for importation. SUPPLY OF RABBITS. ' Sydney, March 12. A deputation from the Workers' Association "interviewed Mr. Black (Minister for Agriculture) with regard to the low prices in the rabbit industry, and suggested that the Government should control tho' establishment of freezing works, that poisoning he abolished, and that it bo made illegal to destroy useful food.
Mr. Black stated that the objection to State meat ■ freezing would be applicable to .rabbits. Drought conditions would interfere 1 with supplies.
