GIFTS TO THE MUSEUM
TWO CASES OF BIRDS. The Dominion Mußeum'has received a donation of two glasß oases of'atulled New Zealand birds from Mr. J. M. "Richardson, 132 The Terrace.
Natural history objects, such as shells, fish, fossils, rocks, mineralj and insects of all kinds, are always welcomed by museum curators, if accompanied by. an exact indication of tho locality. They oan be rejected if quite common, but even then may be useful for exchange, purposes. Other objects which the Museum authorities would welcome are old newspapers, letters, photographs, and documents of any sort relating to New Zealand and the South Seas, and modern photographs or lantern slides of good examples of native trees, bird habits, peculiar rock formations, glaciers, etc.
