GUILTY OF ASSAULT

Creymouth, March 10.

.In the Supreme Court, before Mr. Justice Denniston, David Stone pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and was ordered to come up for sentence when called; he had already been imprisoned over six months awaiting trial. William Manson, for theft, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment. No bill was returned in the charge of arson •against Cooper.
