The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report:—At our monthly stock * sale held at To Horo on Tuesday sheep came forward in. excess of advertised numbers. There was also.a fair yarding of cattle. A fair demand existed for all classes, and practically a clearance of all lines ofTercd was effected at the following quotations Sheep: Fat owen and wethers, mixed, 19s. 3d.; fat ewes, 19s. Id.; fat wethers, 245. Id.; two-tooth to f.m. ewes, 12s. to 145.; f.f.m. ewes, 135.; cull ones, ss. 6d.; mixed sex lambs, 7s. Id.; cull do., 4s, 7d.: two-tooth ewes and wethers, mixod, 13s. 9d.: two-tooth wethers, 165.; aged rains, 15s. Cattle: I''at cows, £6 to £6 10s.; forward do., £5; store do., £3 7s. 6d.; mixed weauers, : dairy cows, spring caivers, £8; bulls, £5 10s. to £7 6s.
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Woodville sale of March 8 as follows:—We offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Competition was not keen at auction, but wo ultimately made practically a total clearance at late rates. Quotations: Mixed aged ewes, 13s. 6d. to 16s. 3d,; store ewes, 3s. to Bs. 6d.; woolly lambs, 9s. to 10s.; medium lambs, 6s. to 7s. Id.: two-tooth wethers, 165.; Romney rams, 20s. to £2 25.; fat cows, £6 2s. 6d. to.£6 10s.; empty cow 6, £3 4s. 6d. to £4 25.; store cows, 325. .to £2 175.; eighteenmonth steers, £2 14s. to £3 16.: bulls, £3 5. to £4. A horso sold for Mr. L. Harding for the Belgian Fund made £3.

Sheep of any quality Bold well, inferior sorts being somewhat neglected. Good conditioned cows and good' coloured steers also sold well. Quotations: Four and five-rear ewes, 14s. .3d. to 165., Ed.; mixed aged ewes, 12s. to 14s. Bd.; sound-mouth ewes, in fair condition, 9s. 6d. to 11b. At the Addington live stock market there was 'a heavy yarding of store sheep, but small entries of fat sheep and lambs, and a fair entry; of fat cattle. Store sheep gold well at tie advanced rates recorded at late soles. Prime beet waslirm, but indifferent sorts were easier. Fat lambs and fat 6hecp were • firmer.
Store sheep: Good forward lambs, 15s. 6d. to 17s. 2d.; medium lambs, 12s. to 15s. 3d.; inferior lambs, 9s. 3d. to lis. 6d.; cull lambs, ss. Id. to Be. Gd.: cood ewe lambs, 146.; cull ewe lamhs, 9s. At Burnside to-day 211 fat cattlo were yarded, a . good proportion of which were of prime quality. Export buyers wcro. not operating, and as tho yarding, was more than sufficient for butchers' requirements prices were lower than last week's rates by 10».'to 15s. per head. Fat sheep: There was a moderate yarding, 2188 boing penned. A good number of very good cheep camo "forward and met a good solo at equivalent to last week's ' rates for prime sheep, lis:lit weights being from par to 6d. lower than last week's rates. Best wethers, 265. to 28s. 6d.; extra, to 31s. 9d.; good to medium, 225. 6d. to 245.; light, 16s. to ,195.; best ewes, 235. to 255.; extra to 275:; medium to good, 19s. to 21s:; light, 15s. to 175.; inferior, 12s. 6d. to 14s.
Fat lambs: There wa« a small yaidirie, 1076 being penned. The entry consisted mainly of moderate quality; the demand was'good for prime lambs, and late rates, were maintained, but unfinished met with poor sale,, and were difficult to dispose of. Prime, 18s. 6d. to 20e. 6d.; extra, to 255. 6d.; medium, 15e. 6d. to 17o.; unfinished, 12s. 6d. to 14s.
