PRUSSIAN WAR BUDGET
VOTED AGAINST BY SOCIAL DEMOCRATS London, March 9. It is reported from Berlin that the War Budget has passed the Prussian Diet. The Social Democrats voted against it, while the Poles' and Danes abstained from voting.
The German Reichstag has passed a Bill taxing the profits of manufacturers of war material. The tax is to be retroactive.
THE HOPE OF VICTORY. (Rec. March 10, 11.25 p.m.) London, Maroh 10. A report from Berlin states that the President of the Prussian Diet, addressing the Chamber before adjourning for tho recess, said that he trusted that before they re-met' he felt sure that 'the hope of victory which was theirs to-da.y would be nearer realisation.
