A sale by auction in aid of the Mayor's War Distress Fund of the jiotatoes grown on a section of the Town Belt at tie extreme eastern end of Mein Street, from seed planted by the children of the Newtown School, will be held on the ground to-day at 4 p.m., by the corporation auctioneer, Mr. J.
