TURMOIL IN PORTUGAL
REPUBLICAN GUARDS SURROUND PARLIAMENT
London, March 8. A Lisbon message reports; that the authorities surrounded Parliament with a cordon of Republican Guards to prevent the Democrate from holding a sitting of Congress.—'"Times" and Sydney "Sun" services.
A message from Madrid (Spain) yesterday, stated: "There are rumours at Badajoz of an impending civil war in Portugal., Many fugitives have crossed the frontier.''
