MOTOR RESERVE
A section in General Orders issued yesterday dealing! with the New Zealand Forces' Motor Reserve,of Officers states that except in thb case of mobilisation of the forces should only be called on generally within a forty-mile radius of the place of assembly for manoeuvres, etc. When called ont for duty, officers shall receive the following daily rates of pay Lieutenant-colonels, 15s. per day ;* majors, 125.; captains, 10s!; lieutenants, Bs. Half the above rates only will be paid for a. half-day's tour of duty. In addition to pay of rank, each officer shall receive a mnning allowance according to the class of car ■used by him. The running allowance shall be(a) Class A car, 20 h.p. or upwards, seating four, including driver, 4d. per mile; (b) Class B car, under 20 h.p., seating four, including driver, 3d. per mile; (c) Class C car, not less than JO li.p., seating one or two in addition to driver, 2d. per mile.
