STEAMER COMMISSIONS
' TO MEMBERS OF REINFORCEMENTS. . It is notified in District Orders for feneral information that the Union team Ship Company and > the HuddartParker Steamship Company are arranging for the granting, to members of the reinforcements proceeding from the Trentham camp to their homes on leave, of return steamer passages at single rates, on production of certificate from the officer commanding the camp. In order that there may be no complaints as to abuse of these concessions, it is directed that the certificates, showing members of the reinforcements are proceeding to their homes on leave, and are entitled to the necessary return steamer passages at single rates, shall only be issued at camp, by the camp commandant or the officers commanding each subsequent reinforcement. No such certificates will, therefore, be issued in districts, even though thero may be reason to believe applicants are travelling to their homes on leave, it being obligatory for them to obtain the certificates, when leave has been granted beforo leaving camp. Attention of group or other officers at ports is to be particularly drawn to these instructions, and as such certificates or passages aro not transferable, any case of malpractice coming wider notice is to bo immediately reported, to conserve the concession for bona-fide cases.
