Young people's day was held yesterday at the Alexandra Hall, Abel Smith Street, and there were large gatherings at the various meetings. Among the young people the Salvation Army carrying on an important work, and in his addresses yesterday Commissioner Hodder laid stress on the vital necessity of the rising generation being firmly grounded in the knowledge of _ the Lord. The Commissioner was assisted by Mrs. Hodder, the chief secretary, and Mrs. Powley, and tho lpr.*<l-orial 'headquarters staff.
