The Concert Chamber of the Town Hall was well filled Friday Eight when Mr. J. Alexander,Clark©, of the Belgian Congo, gave his concluding, lecture. The subject was' a most interesting one, "Travelling and Hunting in Dr. Livingstone's Country,? 1 and was illustrated by a number of particularly fine lantern slides. The Hon. J. 6. W. Aitken was in the chair. ... . . "
The lecturer brought his hearers 'through the wilds of Central Africa, dealt with ' the fascinating subject of .the. wild beasts and big game that inhabit that country, and related many other incidents relative to his travels in that part of the,world.
