HEMP & TOW GRADED
The Department of Agriculture advises that the total number of bales of hemp graded during February was 8477, as compared with 13,709 for the corresponding month of last year, a decreaso of 5232 bales. For the twelve months ending February 28, the number of bales eraded was 88.069, as compared with 163,347 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 75,278 bales. - During the month 2174 bales of tow were dealt with, as compared with 4126 for the corresponding month of last year, a decrease of 1952 bales. For the twelve months ending February 28, the number of bales graded was 25,666, as compared with 54,168 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 28,502 bales. During the month the number of bales of stripper slips graded was 271, as compared with 188 for the corresponding month ■of last ■ year, ail increase of 83 hales. For the twelve months ending February 28 the number of hales graded was .1357.
