SLAV PLOT DISCOVERED
FIVE CONSPIRATORS SHOT
Geneva, March 4. 'A Vienna telegram states that a plot lias been discovered among Austro-Hun-garians to receive offers of Slav nationality and bring about a settlement with Russia. The conspirators belong to a Republican organisation, whose object is to transform the monarchy into a confederacy. The General Staff ordered five of the conspirators to be shot, but the pickets refused to carry out the order, and a mutiny resulted, as mentioned in a message on March 2. [The message cabled on March 2— it came from Paris—stated: —A Prague telegram states that the 91st _ Czech Regiment refused to go to Galicia, and mutinied. All the superior officers and many of the juniors were massacred. Tlie mutineers were subjected to torriblo reprisals, and the remnants of the regijtmii seat to the Rumanian frontier.}
