DANNEVIRKE AUTUMN MEETING MULTIPLY WINS THE CUP. ACCIDENT IN THE HURDLE RACE. (By Td«crttDh.—Press Association.) Dannevirke, March 3. The Dannevirke .Racing Club's Autumn Meeting opened -to-day in brilliant weather. Pho course was on the hard side, and this accounted for a fair number of scratching throughout the day. The sum of £16,367 was put through the machines, .compared with' X 15.063 for the first day of ■ the corresponding meeting last year. The results are:— MAIDEN PLATE, of 75 so vs. Five furlongs. The dispatch was not a good one, Imarose getting the best-of the deal. Passing the stand Sunbird led the field by about four lepgth\ big olosest attendants being Multiply, - KimbomTji, and Imarose. The positions remained 'unchanged until the hpnie turn was reached. Sunbird was then gradually overhauled, and in the run to the post Multiply forged ahead and won by a length, Sunbird just beat- j ing Kimbombi, who finished very fast. Imarose was fourth.
