CRICKET
MID-WEEK ASSOCIATION, The Wednesday players commenced the seventh round of their competitions on the Basin. Reserve yesterday afternoon. The scores, considering tho good state of the wickets, were very small. In the match Oriental A-Rivals, Oriental (batting first) were all disposed of for tho small score of 134, of which Cording was top, with a lucky 45. Rivals, at the call of time, had lost two wickets for 58 runs. Of tho bowlers, M'Kenzie, with three for 11, was the best. In the match, Oriental B v. Union, Oriental made'l4B.- Hicks, with a wellplayed 43, was top scorer, but was run very close by Lindsay with 41. Union, have lost one wicket for 28 1 runs.
