OPERATIONS FOR HEART DISEASE

Dr. Carrell, an American medical professor, who. is now in oharge of a French military hospital a,t Lyons, is credited with predicting that the knife will soon cure some forms of- heart disease. It has been found that the heart can be stoppedfor nearly three minutes while an operation is being performed, and that usually it will start again without massage. Many people worry a g<»d deal about their hearts because of pains near it. It is peculiar that organic heart disease rarely causes pain round the heart, and the discomfort and pain that many worry about is oaused by a form of indigestion. When the action of the stomach is weakened by debility or defective nerve force, the food "is retained until it ferments. Gas forms and presses on the other organs, particularly the heart, causing the pains that are not unnaturally ascribed to heart disease.

Indigestion and their unpleasant features are best treated by a course of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. They supply to the stomach the rich, red blood without which normal digestion is impossible. They awaken into activity the gastric glands and strengthen the muscles of the stomach and give the nerve force necessary to proper digestion and assimilation. With, thin blood and weak nerves it is impossible to avoid stomach trouble. Build up the blood and strengthen the nerves and note the increased appetite, the comfortable feeling alter eating and the improvement in health'and vigour. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills are for sale at all dealers.
