' INTER-CLUB CONTESTS. •The inter-club lawn tennis contests were continued on Saturday. Some of the results were as follow: — Victoria College men's senior team defeated Brougham Hill by one set. Brougham Hill men's junior team won from Johnsonville by default. Lyall Bay defeated Victoria College third-class B team by 6 r'ubbors to nil. In the following scores, the names of the Lyall Bay players are given first: — Singles: Dalgleish defeated Robinson, 9—l; Arcus defeated Tiley, 9—2; Deare defeated DaJl, 9—o; M'Gill defeated Kay, 9 —l. Doubles: Dalgleish and Arcus defeated Robinson and Tiley, 9—7: Deare and MiGill defeated Dall and Kay, 9—B. Brougham Hill men's third-class team defeated'Petone by six rubbers to nil.
